APPS voltage adjustment

Everbodys probly read all the APPS voltage adjustment threads, well I just got done doing mine and wondering if there might be an easier way.

Everyone seems to be taking the 2 T20 torx screws out that holds the APPS on, well I did that and got it close but it wasn't right on the $$.

So anywho I got lookin around cause no matter how many times I adjusted it and compensated when I tightened the torx screws it threw it off slightly.

Then I saw the throttle stop set (also a T20 torx)

So I fine tuned it with the throttle set and had more than ample adjustment.

My question is why can't you just adjust the voltage with the throttle set screw, my voltage was down to 3ish and no more than I had to turn it on the back I think I could have just took it up with the throttle stop screw.

Just a thought I figured I'd throw out there to let somebody samrter than me tell me why its wrong lol

Throttle set screw? How interesting. And where is this little gizmo located? The apps sensor is very finicky on the adjustment if you have enough adjustment left. I had to turn mine all the way forward just to get close.

Its the part that the throttle linkage bottoms out on one on the high idle side and one on low idle or resting position.

Basically if it were a 12v it would be the part that adjusted your low idle speed if that helps any.

I see what you mean about adjusting the throttle stop, I used that to adjust my NEW apps to get the correct reading (very slightly, it was close)
......but will the voltage be too low at WOT with a "bad" apps if that is how you adjusted? Just a thought, maybe check voltage when holding the throttle open?
