Anyone try the new AEM dry filter ?

Looks good on their website. I like the looks of
the whole Brute Force Intake System. I just don't
know if it would show any improvement over my
current BHAF set up. How long is a BHAF supposed to last ?
With out the filter minder how do you know when to replace
it ?

AEM is the way to go. IMO the best performance filter out there. Cummins does not reccomend oiled filters which eliminates a lot of the aftermarket. The AEM also outflows the bhaf.

I have one coming as well, after seeing the performance data I couldent say no.
also for reference, chrysler does not reccomend oiled filters, cummins does not care. as a mtter of fact most marine engines use filters manufactured by k&n like the air sep system.

I saw this advertised today on 'TRUCKS'. I think I might get one when I get my new truck.

Marine engines use that type of air filter because they are less vulnerable to moisture breakdown. Also chrysler does not reccomend oiled air filters because Cummins does not reccomend them. Chrysler does however have the burden of warranty so its obvious why you heard that statement from Chrysler. I live less than an hour from Cummins and took the factory tour and asked an engineer first hand. Is that enough for ya

I am also very interested in this intake. I am deciding between this and the pro guard 7. Does the pro guard live up to its filtration claims? Because I would rather sacrifice a little air for better filtration. I

I have the AFE Stage 2 intake system but decided I was sick and tired of oiling the filter (plus I could never seem to get it right it was either not enough oil or too much oil) any way a few months ago I pulled the AFE filter off and installed an AEM filter on my AFE stage 2 box. I have not had any changes as far as noise or EGT's.

Yep. People have posted oil analysis and pg7 does a good job filtering and still flows some air. I'm going to try the stage 1.

I have running the AEM set up for 1 year (Oiled type Filter). No Problems. But as my filter got dirty I diden't want to bother with the oil I just installed a AEM dry filter last week. Lets see how it goes.
