Anyone using AEM Dryflow filter?

Ok, now that I've got the engine running sweet with the new VP, it's time to do the intake. I was looking at adding an AEM dryflow filter as a BHAF. Is anyone running this filter? What do you think of it? I can get the 9" version locally for $44. I'll pick it up tomorrow, if I get some good feedback ... thanks in advance!

BTW: I know I need an exhaust ... hopefully the boss will ask me what I want for my b-day!

hmmmm.........no takers, eh? I have been wondering the same thing since I first read about them. No one has any experience with the AEM product?

I've read, in the archives, about the complete system, but not a BHAF. I'd like to pick one up, but there was some dispute about restricted flow. Like I said, I did a little reading on the issue, but it seems like it was related to the filter minder being pulled down. Some thought that was from a restriction, but other thought it was from the vacuum caused by the amount of air that was passing it.

I did read it's pretty loud ... I'd really like to know how loud!

I just ordered the S&B Intake system. I want to get the K&N out of there and get some better filtering and flow. I'll report back.

The van Aaken is terriffic for what I want to do with the truck. I have thought of adding 275's, but I think I will drive it like it is for now. I also plugged off the wastegate, made a nice difference as well. Not huge, but noticeable. Spools up much quicker now, I like it.

Recently replaced my Fleetguard AH19037 BHAF with an AEM DryFlow filter on my 99. Used the 4" x 9" filter (Part #21-2059DK) from AutoAnything . SOP meter indicates faster spoolup and it does move some air - sounds like a small airliner taking off when accelerating. Turbo will sing more so be prepared. Will do an oil analysis in about two months to determine the actual filtration capabilities.

Where did you get the Outerwears and which model did you request? How did it fit the filter? Price? Sorry for all the questions.

Looked outerwares up on the web...website has a phone number...I simply told them the part number off the AEM box and they said they had the one that fit that model in stock...sent the next day, price was around $24? it's been a while...they have numerous colors to choose from too
