I talked to an old salty diesel guy that sells a bunch of cummins upgrades and he told me that the aem kit was the best for the money. He said the kit was very well put together and he even really liked the sound it added to the system. I have no personal experience with the system, but if I wanted a dry filter setup I'd take his word for it. He stated further that the AFE system was the best but you will pay for it. I haven't heard a thing about the new Fram system, but if history plays into it, I'm not a Fram fan. I'd probably go with the AEM system if I were to go with a dry filter arrangement.

i have had the BHAF in my 2nd gen and now the 3rd gen and i have no probs so far in over 400k in both trucks. Analysis come back satisfactory. Just my .02 worth and it is alot less expensive.....$38 and change from cummins AF19037 will do it.

i found the brute force for $201 shipped and ordered it.....hope I like it....i noticed when my nephew drove my truck past me so i could hear it, i sure could hear the turbo whistle from the outside since i removed the turbo ring, this should really scream now with the straight pipe removed and an open air element.

I have both the AEM and the Fram boost. Both are one and the same for the record. I love the dryflow air filter. The AEM setup is nice but I got tired of the sir sucking noises. Whistle is loud that was nice. I now use the dryflow in a S&B set up. It is what works best for me. I did like the AEM/Fram over the Scotty III and the BHAF. I owned all of the above at one point or another.

Exclamation

From what I understand the Framboost is reusable DRY fillter using synthetic fibers that filter down to 8 micron! Sounds economical and can give the performance with looks and sound. Fram put alot into this new filter set up. Why do you guys bash it? For a stock truck wanting to breath a little this sounds good.
BESIDES dodge engineering designed the stock intake for set flow. To much of a good thing is not always the best.

If you wish to keep the stock air box you can make your own kit from a hardware store with a clothes dryer vent kit. Just cut a 4 inch hole in the bottom of the box remove the hood from the dryer vent attach it to the bottom of the box with sheet metal screws and run the flexible vent hose to where ever you want it. Not pretty and cute but very effective!
