Anyone have problems with the fittings from Autometer?

I just started working on installing my Autometer Phantom boost gauge. They gave me a fitting that goes on the back of the gauge for the nylon tube to fit into, but it won't thread onto the gauge? I'm guessing I just got a bad fitting, since I tried another fitting that came with the kit for the other end of the line (different fitting, same thread) and it fits fine...so I'm assuming they just gave me a crappy fitting. Anyone else have problems with Autometer fittings, is this a common issue? Or am I just a lucky guy?

Hopefully I can find something at Lowes to make this work.

I have put lots of them on with no problems, so you must be the lucky guy today! The thing I do find occasionally is bad light bulbs - check 'em before you get the gauges all mounted.

It should be a standard 1/8" compression fitting. You can get them at any hardware store in the plumbing dept.

Yup.. U must the be the lucky one... Just go to all most any auto parts store and get a line kit... about $7-10... That should have about everything you need... You can also get them in copper lines.. and longer lines...

Lucky me.

I checked Lowes - NO GO, Home Depot - NO GO...the smallest sizes they had was 1/4".

Ace had ALMOST what I needed, but it was a male, not a female. I guess I will write to Autometer and have them send me another one...and try some pipe supply places in town tomorrow.

Arghh.

NAPA and other auto parts places usually have them. Some larger wal-marts do too.

The only problem I had with the install of my Autometers the the vacuum tube was about 6'in to short. Other then that the install was a snap.
