anyone ever shortened a longbed to a shortbed

have always wanted to have a regularcab shortbed cummins.i have seen a lot of chevys done but not ever a dodge.anyone done this yet?

Why not? Very easy parking, great turning radius, light weight (for drag racing), to be different?

A guy around here that owns the nomuffler shop I use did it to his 92 w150. Bobbed the bed while he was at it...

He wants to fit it down the Jeep trails with less body damadge...

A salvage yard around here is putting a cummings in a shortbed half ton. They say the frames are almost the same as the diesel frames except for some bolt holes. I don't know whether they are putting the running gear under it or not, but if they are not they probably will soon when it tears it up. They do alot of cummins wreck rebuilds so they are familier with the trucks.
