Anybody tried Magnaflow???

I was hoping to add a new muffler to the truck and I was hoping someone has modified the 03 Cummins with a new muffler. It already has a 4" pipe and with the engine being so quiet I need something that sounds ballsy. Magnaflow was the first choice on my list due to the guys here that rave about the straight pipe exhaust systems. Any tips?

I have a Jardine 4" exhaust system with a Magnaflow 4" muffler.
It makes driving around town nice and not too loud, and when you want to get on it or rev the engine it still reports nicely and doesnt have that straight piped blap blap sound! ;D

--Justin

I have one, 3" stright pipe than the Magnaflow. I really don't hear a difference, slightly louder and more deeper (not much though) than stock. Not sure about the 03's and how much difference it would make. I'd say go for it...
Big dawg

I looked around at some of the other mufflers and Magnaflow is the only one that makes diesel specific mufflers. Part is ordered and I will give you 2003 guys an update tomorrow if the guys can put it in then.

I put a ATS exhaust system on my 2001 and the rude drone was so irritating that I decided to add another muffler. I went with Magnaflow and it makes the exhaust system polite.

Re:Anybody tried Magnaflow???

The muffler is in and I am very happy with it. Nice deep tone and not too loud. Be sure to double check your measurements because the local muffler guy that did mine measured the canister and Magnaflow allegedly includes the fittings in their measurements. That left him with six inches to repair. I made him get a new piece of 4" pipe so that only one weld was present on the pipe. He was ****** because he doesn't work with anything over 3" and had to order it. A note to all of you out there the exhaust system starts at 3 1/2" to the muffler and exits the muffler at 4" to the tip. I thought it was 4" all the way through.
