Is it still considered "practice" if you only get to do it once?

No it's considered more TRAIL AND ERROR!!

 

I've got BFG 285/75/16 on my stock rims, and thats about the biggest that I would go with these rims. Anything over that go with an 8-10" rim, but keep in mind the bigger the rim, the more they will stick out (depending on the backspacing)
