Hi Guys
I was wondering about the duel filter system on my truck , some one on here said I could just change the oil with dyno and use the duel filter system .
I bought this truck off a lot , so I'm assuming that there is still the amsoil still , but can not be sure and I don't want to take a chance .
Dose any one know what filters will fit this setup , or should I remove it , I'm fine with dyno oil , sence the system is in place should I keep it on ...I'm not sure what the system dose , and is it cost effective to keep on my cummins .
I just got the truck today , so please excuse me for not hving what the truck is on my posts ...its a 1996 2wd 2500 with 155,000 .
Thanks guys
Greg

hey Greg,
My very little sense chimes in here.
I do some work on a 98.5 that has around 260,000 km on it. He uses the amsoil oil and bypass filtration system on his truck.
We had it apart the other day to do a valveset, and you could literally eat off the inside of the valve cover, it was that clean. I have never seen that on a dino oil engine.
If you want more info on that truck, PM me, and I will pass along contact info.

The filtration system will work with any oil...and keep it cleaner than not having the Dual filters.
Use it...with the oil of your choice! One of the filters is very tight...filtering 5% (usually) of the oil every hour down to extra special clean (that's an industry term)
Can read about these systems on Amsoils Web site.
I would change all filters & fluids on ANY truck I bgt from a dealer, lot or individual....unless I knew the previous owner reeeealy well! Only way to be sure you know what's in there and when!
If it's the Amsoil dual filtration system...ck their web site for filter info...

Congrats! on your new truck.
