Especially considering you used the wrong Vaseline in your gun. You're supposed to use the Vaseline rated for spray-in liners.

I hear Line-x can hook you up for $50/tub or so.

Tell me more. You seem to know alot about vaseline.

no chips or cracks in the liner? I used a 2 part spray on line and shot it with a shutz gun and it has lasted better but still a few chips, debating grinding it all off and shooting it with this Al's if it will stand up better.

I'm telling the truth, it is some tough stuff. If it ever does chip, you just wipe it down with laquer thinner and spray more on. Al's now has a vinyl flattener and rubber crumbs which make it hard like Line-x. If mine ever chips, I'm gonna try that. If the shutz is polyurethane, you shouldn't need to grind it off, just wipe and shoot.

rockers panels

Sir I am not a body man by any standards. I have wonted to have my old truck shot with some type of product that will stop the rock chips etc below the molding. My truck is red so I had wonted to have the red tint added to the liner. How ever I have been told the it will fade and turn to pink. I don't wont a red and pink truck. I have also been told that I can have the liner painted also. Do you have any suggestions. I wont to have the work done but I don't care for the two tone look of black and red. I already have the liner sprayed in the bed and I like that . I had asked the fellow about having the fiberglass cover that is on the bed shot but I was told that would not work. [Ninon] Any ideas on the tint and preventing the sun fade. thanks Jim

Al's is very UV resistent. They actually gaurantee it not to fade. If it does fade, you treat it like paint, just hit it with a buffer and it brings back the shine. If you ever decided to change the color of your truck, you just wipe it down with laquer thinner and spray over it. It bonds to itself. This stuff is awesome how user friendly it is. Al's claims that you should not spray it over plastics or flexible parts unless you coat it inside/outside enclosing the item in liner. I've never tried that yet myself. If you are located near PA & are willing to drive, I'll spray it for you.

HOHN walked...or maybe slipped right into that comment.

I may have missed it in this thread...can you spray this over other bedliner products?

Great looking 2 gen and excellent work/write up.

Maybe Lary can get set up as a distributor and sell it in the DTR store?

Scotty
