Question for you, when you painted your truck did you paint the lower parts also, then just sand it down when you did your liner. If I remember right the lower part was painted black before.

Yes, my rockers were painted gun metal grey. I had plans of getting Line X, but I saw a truck that was done at my local Line X shop & it had more bedliner on the interior than the rockers. I decided to do it myself.

Yep, just sanded it down with 36 grit, cleaned with laquer thinner & sprayed etching primer on before shooting Al's liner.

Yeah, please keep us posted as to the long term durability of this product. That is a fantastic job you've done, both on your truck and in the great photo tutorial you presented to us. Lot of work on both. I know it gets a bad rap, but I have Herculiner on the inside lower walls of my stock trailer. Been there for 3 full years and still holding up very well. No evidence of chipping or peeling. It gets plenty of abuse. I prepped it very well, which I believe is a big part of it. It's nice to know there is now a quality spray on product available for those of us that are capable of doing a job like this ourselves. Thanks again.
