All Autos......

Has anyone with a 24v auto relocated the OD on/off button?

If so, what wires did you tap and where did you put it?

My switch is a pain to put on and off and I thought it might be nice to put the switch elsewhere for ease/comfort...

I can't think of any place that seems more convenient to me than right where it is. I have thought about swapping it with my lock up switch because I use that more often and it is not as convenient. I haven't got far enough to actually look into the wires to grab though.

Eventually I'd like to have both the OD switch and the exhaust brake switch next to each other ( on my cup smoothie / where my hand always rests while I'm driving.

Anyone done it?

Mounting a switch in a cup shouldnt be too hard. Are you going to use plastic or Styrofoam? I think it would look sweet in one of those Large Sweet Tea Cups from Mcdonalds.

I also feel it's pretty good right where it's at now. All's I gotta do is raise my hand a bit and push. Simple. I'm not sure which wires you gotta splice into. But pull off the column cover and take a look see. It's real easy. There are 3 torx tipped screws on the bottem of the cover.

I'll take the cover off tonight and look to see what I have.....

What wires are tapped for a smoke switch, or is that totally different?

Different wires. For a smoke switch or a mystery switch or more accurately a torque converter lock switch, you need to tap the orange wire with blk tracer down by the ECM. Then run a wire from the tap into the cab to a 33 ohm resister, then to the switch. The other side of the switch attach another wire and ground that. With some trucks you also need to pull out the tranny relay and jump two connections. I didn't, and mine works just fine.
