AirDog/FASS on 12V?

Just wondering if anyone had put an AirDog/Fass or any other 24v friendly systems on a 12v and if so what were your results?

Dexter:

Welcome to the website!

To answer your question, I have a FASS 180 GPH on my 96' Dodge CTD 12 valve truck. I am very happy with the FASS and see about 45lbs of pressure at idle and the pressure never gets much below 42-43 even at WOT. You can look at my signature to see where I am at on H.P./TQ. etc.

I see where you live in N.C. I live in Holly Ridge about halfway between Wilmington and Jacksonville, N.C.

Thanks John, If I remember correctly you were at a DTR meeting in Raleigh or Durham, (cant remember) a few years back with your son, he had a 01? at the time. I was in the silver dodge with a single stack. I actually purchased a set of DD3 injectors from him several years ago when I attended NC State. Small world isn't it. The 24valve that I had when I was in Raleigh has AirDogs heavy fueling system on it. Im probably going to put it on a 12v that Im in the process of purchasing. I also have another thread up about the fact that Im switching to a 12 and wondering how much fuel it would take to spool my Silver Bullet up. Thanks again for the help. Travis

P.S. I actually will be heading to Morehead City this weekend for a fishing trip, and have to pick someone up at the Jacksonville airport.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I do remember us meeting at that event and you are right, my Son John Jr. did have a 2001 Dodge CTD 24 valve at that time.
He traded that truck in on his current 2004 Dodge CTD CR. So, you now live in the High Point area?? Johnner lives in Raleigh now.

Anyway, hope to see you at some upcoming events around here.

Take care and welcome aboard!

I ran your run of the mill 150/150 FASS on my VP 24v. It was usually 17 psi idle, 16 highway, and between 13-15 full throttle. When I went to the p-pump, idle was 18-19 psi, full throttle was min 17. I actually gained pressure with it. Ran just fine. Better than the HRVP ever did. I put on the 45 psi unit on my truck. Lowest I've seen is around 28. My gauge is a 30 psi one, so most of the time, its pegged out. Never really noticed much difference when I swapped out lift pumps, other than the newer one is quieter (new design). I don't see why the 24v unit wouldn't work fine as a standalone pump, let alone a pusher to the stock mech lift pump on the 12v. But I'm not that high in HP, where the differences may become more apparent.

Ok have a new option. I ran across an Aeromotive A1000 pump and I think an A45 regulator, that I purchased several years ago to put on my 24v and never got around to doing it. My question is would I be better off putting the Aeromotive pump and regulator on my truck or would I be better off putting the AirDog system on. Im leaning toward the Aeromotive just for simplicity, and the fact that I wouldn't have to swap it off of my 24v. Reason I got this pump is someone that I spoke to at Piers at the time I had the opportunity to buy it told me it worked great on one of their trucks, and since I have heard of a few others running this pump. Reason I got it is bc I was able to pick it up really cheap.
