Unhappy Airdog 150

Bought the airdog 150 and I think I should have bought the 100. They say the 150 is usually used where other mods have been made and the demand for more GPM's is call for. I don't have any modifications to my fuel system yet, maybe down the road. Question is would it be okay to install the 150?

Not going to hurt anything. You will have plenty of gpm's and your fuel will be nice and clean.

a 150 is more than enough, and I believe the 100 is still good for north of 500hp, I think (as in my case) folks buy the 150 cause its the same price as the 100, when Airdog has them on sale

Go ahead and install the 150 and enjoy it. You will not regret it and you will always have enough pressure to do what every to your truck, with in reason of course. Yes, the 100 is more then enough for most, but for the price and since you already have, go with the 150.

I believe Airdog reccommends using a Vulcan Drawstraw of some sort for the 150's, as the stock fuel tank pickup tube is to small. The company that sold you the Airdog should have informed you of this.

Airdog 150 comes with a drawstraw in the pkg,no need to buy extra parts (at least mine did )
I did get another drawstraw so I could dump the AD return back into the fuel module

That makes the Airdog 150 less than the 100 then, I didn't get a drawstraw with my 100, I needed to buy the drawstraw V since it had a intank pump, it was around 30$ extra.

I personally would go with the 100. It's easier to hook up and as long as you have the factory pickup you wont have to deal with the draw straw which leads to 1/4 tank issues. The 100 will support well north of 600 RWHP.

I installed a Drawstraw V because I had a in tank pump, I tested how low I take the fuel, I got chicken and refueled after 50 miles on the empty mark. So for me there seems to be no 1/4 tanks issues.

Air Dog 150 Install

Hello All, once again it has taken a long time to reply. Yes I did finally install the air dog system. I also made a step by step photo shoot of the way I installed it. I just reading now on how to post the pics. without sending you folks pictures that take up the whole screen and the computer next door. Bear with me and I'll get the pics on. Any questions about the install feel free to ask.I'll try to answer questions a little quicker than I did to reply. Thanks to All! This in my mind is one of the best information highways(dieseltruckresource).
