I am in the market for an Airbox. I am currently considering the DD Airbox and the Ram Air III kit. Have any of you had experience with either and what are your impressions? <br><br>I can easily reach 1300 F at WOT with me EZ (setting 4) and am looking to drop the EGT's significantly. I already have an AFE drop in filter, but after putting in the boost elbow, I draw the filter minder down to 65% all the time. In the future I will also be adding the DD turbo and quite possibly the stage 3 injectors and Edge Comp box. <br><br>For this application, which will be the best air box to reduce EGT's the most?

 

i have the scotty III and ez set at 3 withe a 4 inch exhaust. <br>max temps pulling 7000 lbs is 1030, no trailer wide open see how fast i can go gets me to about 1120. don't know about afe but my scotty is great cools down quicker also. with my few mods egt's are down about 150 to 175 degrees. i personally think that is great. by the way, the above temps were with me trying real hard to get them up.

nicksort,<br><br>The boost elbow is a 1/4&quot; brass elbow fitting that comes with the Edge EZ and replaces the stock fitting. The &quot;new&quot; boost elbow has a restriction orifice in it to allow you to achieve higher boost pressures without the wastegate opening. The EZ also acts as a boost fooler as to not set any overboost codes in the computer. With the original elbow I saw a maximum of 26psi boost. With the EZ boost elbow I now can get &gt;36psi boost. More boost = lower EGTs.
