Aftermarket fog lights in factory cut outs?

Does anyone know of aftermarket fog lights that will fit in the locations of the bumper supplied by dodge for their own optional lights? I bought an ST model truck that came with no lights in those holes and would like to install some kind of high intensity aftermarket lights there. Has anyone else done this? How do you remove the grill-like plastic louver things that are there now? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Scott

There was a thread a while back about replaceing a broken fog light where aftermarket lights were mentioned. You might try doing a search on it.

Thanks, I did find one thread (the one you mentioned) but it wasn't much help.

I bought a set from Wal-mart and put into my stock holes. I had to trim the plastic for them to fit but they look good like stock.

I know a guy that put a set of PIAA lights in there. Fit perfectly but pretty expensive. Made some mounting tabs behind the bumper and bolted the bumper back on. Looked great!

I think Pilot makes a set that's supposed to be specifically for that location. http://www.pilotautomotive.com is their website, I believe.

I have a set of Lightforce driving lights ready to go in. Just been too lazy to make the brackets to hold them in place. The plastic comes out easily. Just squeeze and pull. If you look at it from behind you will be able to see which direction to squeeze.

Thanks for all the help. I will try the suggestions mentioned. Really glad to have found this site. How did we ever survive before the internet?

What kind of wattage are the factory lights? Do they compare with any of the hi-performance hid type lights? I live in an area where I travel a lot at night in all types of conditions with no street lighting of any kind. I wanted something pretty intense without having to install them on a light bar or the bumper. I had a set of KC's stolen once.

Re:Aftermarket fog lights in factory cut outs?

I have the OEM fogs on mine, and they don't compare at all to HID or aftermarket lights. They add a bit of lighting down low on the road, and off to the sides, but they're by no means intense. I heard the factory lights will not fit in the holes of a "no fogs" bumper, but I'm not positive on that. As a suggestion to Scott_321, if you can add some information about your truck in your profile, we'll be able to tell easier what year , options, etc you have.
