turn outs or miter cut???

Well its about time that i do something to my dodge again and i think I might as well just throw some stacks on it! But I can not make up my mind on which style of stacks that i want. A couple of my friends have turnouts which i like but id like to do something different, but can not make up my mind. Post which you like. Miter or Turnout. Pics are good too!

P.S. And yes, i did use the search button... many many times..

Will one of the mods put this in the high performance forum please, I seem to have put it in the wrong one...sorry.

That's a very personal decision. To me the stack style has to match the truck. I like mitre cut stacks that end 8- 10 inches above the roof on a 2nd gen 2500. My truck will have turnouts aimed 45 degrees back because I think that's the best look for a 1st gen.

Did you know you can search in the photo gallery for keywords? Might turn up something that way.

Miter cuts ending maybe 1" above the top of the cab. That would look .

I'm thinking theres a single 5" flat top in my future....

Between miter cuts and turn outs I'd go with miter cuts.

You have the same pickup as me, which is very nice I might add. I'd go with the miter cuts ending about 2" about the cab. This is what I plain on doing once my 4" duals get old.

1st gen 3/4 tons look pretty good w/ turnouts...

2nd gen dualies look good w/ turnouts

ALL dualies look good w/ turnouts...

ALL trucks look good w/ miter cuts

2nd gen 3/4 tons look good w/ miter cuts

2nd gen 3/4 tons DON'T look good w/ turnouts!

I had turnouts on my 2500, and they looked like bunny ears...

I'm about to put miter cuts on it

that same guy has miter cuts every now and then...

I got all my stuff here: http://www.usatruckpartsonline.com/index.html

Ed is a really good guy, and they have the best prices I've seen anywhere, and their shipping costs are low too.

I JUST finished up my install... took me about 7-8hrs to get everything just right, but I'm VERY pleased!!!

I'd go miters. Check around with the local trucking places, they will probably have a few old ones laying around that got bent or something. Just cut the good part out. You only need about a 33-34" piece.

Kurtv, that is just plain AWESOME! You have no idea how jealous I am

Insert Alan Jackson:

It's alright to be a redneck....it's all right to ride 'round in a dirty old truck, catch a bunch of fish and shoot a bunch of duck... it's alright, its alright, its alright to be a redneck now.... ba bu bum ba bu bum...
