AFE super stock air filters

Doing some shopping for my truck and an air filter is on my list. I would like to stick to a direct replacement drop-in filter that is dry (non-oiled). I noticed on Geno's site AFE offers a new (well new to me) super stock filter.

Has anyone used this or have opinions on this filter?

Next question, is this AFE Pro Guard 7 series a dry or oiled filter?

Last question, I've heard good things about Amsoil products and was wondering if anyone has opinions on their Ea air filters shown below?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have it. Its better than stock. You can hear the turbo spool. However I wish I had gotten the stage 2. I could use more air.

Nobody has tried the Amsoil Ea filters? They seemed to be priced pretty reasonably.

My experience shows they do not flow enough for a modded truck

Go with an AFE Prodry S, AEM Workhorse, or AEM Dry Flow - all are washable, non oiled filters. You will either need the whole intake (which BTW are much cheaper than they used to be), or get a 4" chunk of PVC to clamp the filter to.

The AFE Proguard 7 is a very good filter but it is oiled.

I dont have any personal experience with the Amsoil filters.

Try the EAAU4510 dry Amsoil filter.

You can also try the EAAU4091. It has just slightly more surface area than the 4510 and has an offset flange. It is about 15 bucks more than the 4510 though.
