I got the AEM Workhorse last week. I am very happy with it.
Dry filter that looks like it has the same surface area of
my old BHAF. Much better performance

Im prefer the AFE... Pretty easy to install, and wow....listen to that turbo. And not to mention the better throttle response!!!

when you say "prefer" does that mean you have tried the aem and like the afe better?

Don't know about ya'll but I had an AEM Brute Force on my Duramax and I could suck it down causing it to twist. I have the AFE on my CTD and no problems so far. Just my .02 worth.

I would have to agree, I hope I don't have a throttle body on mine

I've got the work horse and replaced my BHAF. First things i noticed was it spools alittle quicker and reduced my normal smoke on level 1-3 on my comp. So i went to 1-4 and the smoke is back. I went with it because it is oil less and flows like 1300cfm.

I went with the AFE stage 2 because it's in a mostly enclosed box so it's quieter (not as much turbo whistle) but I didn't like oiling my filter so I put an AEM dry flow filter inside the AFE box. I did not notice any change in noise or EGT's between the two filters. Also the last time I did a dyno run just out of curiosity we pulled the filter off and ran the intake wide open just to see how much restriction the filter had and my dyno numbers did not change, maybe I'm not running enough fuel yet but it has worked fine for me so far.
