adjusting wastegate on 01

I have been searching all day to find some post telling how to adjust the wastegate and have only found one saying you need a j hook. Is there a way to adjust the waste gate on an 01 with out any other parts involed?

Adjustable you need a j-hook, locked shut, a few bucks at the hardware store with some turnbuckles and you're good to go. Do a search on both terms here "turnbuckle" and "j hook" and you should find plenty to read and even a few pics.

Elbow only works with the standard transmission (HX35 turbo). Autos have a HY35 and a solid wastegate tube.

I could but there are other threads with pics that explain it much better. Enter "turnbuckle" in the search engine above and you will get lots of hits.

this may be a dumb idea but........what if you got rid of the metal line on the wastetgate and used a rubber line with a boost controller.
wastegates all work the same on mt or at so y not replace the metal line.

That is an option But the turnbuckle is easier. Most people don't include the spring like I did.

bullydog makes a J-hook kit with the spring, going to order one rather than bodge one together
