Re:Accesories vs. Warranty??

My dealer tried to void my warranty cause of my FP gauge. I put him in his place. ;D They shouldn't void anything. Although, if your turbo goes kaput, you may have a hard time with a pre probe. Post, they can't say a word. But since that occurs once in a blue moon, I wouldn't worry about it.

Took my truck in for some minor warrentee issues and when the service writer opened the truck to get the mileage he saw the gauges and said "man, those are SWEET!" Not a problem with the dealer. Of coarse that was before the EZ! ;D

Re:Accesories vs. Warranty??

My lift pump went out a few weeks ago and the dealer was going to replace under warranty. I had my fp guage hooked up via banjo bolt prefilter originally and just hadn't got around to moving it to the bottom of the filter cannister. Anyway the dealer called me and told me they were going to charge me 90.00 to r&r the gauge sender from the lift pump. 90.00 to unplug a wire and unscrew the sender I think not. especially since they have to unscrew the schrader valve so it really only meant the extra work of unplugging the wire. So I ran home grabbed a couple wrenches and the original schrader valve and replaced in their parking lot in less than 15 minutes. For this reason I would recommend putting your fp gauge on the filter cannister outlet and so that you can keep both schraders for their testing purposes if/when needed.
