800-900hp twins

What kinda turbos would work for 800-900hp range. I know there is PDR's Big Brother setup, but I'm think more along the line of garrett turbos or something like that. Would a GT40 over GT55 be big enough? once you find out how big of a bottom turbo you need for the hp range you want, how do you find out how big the top one needs to be?

What you have now could be made to work. Both of the two turbos can be made big enough for that hp range but wastegates are needed.

my top one is just a plane S300g. would it need to be upgraded to a 62/14 or 64/14?

It would need to be made into a 66/14, I think Jim Fulmer was running a SPS66 with a Big Brother and he is in the high 800's.

Industrial Injection just came out with a set of twins that uses a modified Silver Bullet on top and a modified Big Brother on bottom. Sounds pretty sweet.

I'm guessing you either haven't dyno'd in a while or just haven't updated your signature in a while? What is your current hp level with Rips twins?

The stock S300G would need to be made into something bigger. I dont neccessarily think you'd have to go all the way to a 66mm to reach your goal though. You'll need a much bigger S400 and a wastegate on it to get to the upper end of that range.

Idaho, did I read somewhere that you build twin sets? Just filing that kind of info away for now if my BD twins no longer meet my needs. For now they do about as much as my vp powered truck will allow.

I haven't Dynoed yet. I will be this weekend. hoping for upper 500's maybe 600.

I didn't know they made bigger S400's. do you know what size the one Rip sells are? how big of one can I get? Will it have to be an external wastegate or do they come with a wastegated exhausts gousing?

I'd say you'll be around 600. I'd think your twins would be cabable of more with the S400 on bottom but not sure if you have the fuel for much more. Mine only has an S300 on bottom and I have M6's as well. M6's seem to sqeeze out a little over or a little under 600hp depending on other mods. Good luck on your dyno roll.......

TST on 9 (non competition version), Smarty on 8. Edge Comp doing my timing in EZ mode.

I had better torque with TST 9, and Smarty on 4 with the Edge again doing the timing.

I didn't have a whole lot of time that day. I made four pulls as it was a big event dyno day. I wanted to try a couple of pulls with the Smarty doing the timing and take the Edge out just to see and try some with the Smarty out and just the TST/Edge combo. Will try to get back to the dyno in the next couple months. Good luck.

not sure if I want to run #9 or one of the softer smarty settings. I will have the Smarty do my timming.
