When you increase the compressor without increasing the turbine you will only get some of the gain you would get if you increased both but it makes drivabilty better. The reason....drive pressures. You can realize some of the additional hp from the larger compressor by reducing drive pressures= a wastegate. Keep it on it's map and bypass the rest which is what the wastegate does. My vp truck was actually the first Dodge to run the B2 in '02 which people later found out was a S400.

nice numbers but i still would have expected higher. numbers corrected or no? dynojet or mustang dyno?

just curious because I did 500/1021 on a single turbo, 150 sticks, stock cam, with the TST comp and smarty.

i bet you can get into the 630-640 range, and should def have more tq if you play with your set up a bit and dial it in. how did it spool and how much boost did you see on the dyno?

I know I can get higher. I run about 65psi on the street, but only about 50 on the dyno. I know it wasn;t loaded hard enough. I'm going to BD's dyno next weekend. I now that dyno loads hard, so I will see what happens there. not sure if DDP's is a muistang or dyno jet.

What were most of the 24v VP trucks doing this weekend on the dyno?

We could bump the 6's to 7's and surely get it over 600.

most were in the 4-500's I don't think a single VP topped 600. I might be wrong though, I left early.

what would happen to my street driving with the 7's? I really like how the truck drives right now.

It wont change much Man! You can drive those 7's with the cam. I saw a VP44 truck that was posted to have made 586 on fuel. Looks like you topped that by 20 or so.

great numbers BTW.

so basically im reading that with twins and a cam its still gonna take a mach 7 to break 600hp?

this is getting too expensive, gonna have to trade in for a common rail.

I'm about 99% sure that I can make 600+ hp with these sticks, just it will take some tunning. I was still smoking some, so there is more fuel to be burnt, just need to get the air to it. I need to tune my twins more.

Good deal. You are there. I think your torque will come up too with a properly loaded dyno. I think you've got a little more on the tq side too. Your hp is about the same, but you should have a little more air than me.

Does your dyno sheet not specify what dyno? Actually I just looked at my last dyno sheet and it doesn't say. Yours may though.

Don, you think that might be an option for me (ie. my 6's to 7's). Do I have enough air with the BD twins? FYI, Tim just finished my head with your springs, etc......

IIRC, DDP has a Dynojet 248HW...which will load a truck harder than a 248C that most DynoJet's are!

600+ can be made on Mach 6's...the Mach 7's have only been out for what, 1.5-2 years. Joefarmer's 99 made 648.6 on Mach 6's in 03

Now with an HO, it will be a little tougher, especially with a Silver Bullet...but a call to DDP to hone them out farther should fix that problem

Chris

Lenny was in the truck with me and was sure I would break 600, but it just wouldn't do it. I know the Dyno didn't load me hard enough. I hardly made 50psi when on the street I make 65psi.
