4 inch exhaust

Any one installed one of those 4 inch turbo back exhausts that come in sections and just clamp together, do it yourself install. Wondering how easy they are to install, if they are worth the time and money.

Thats the way all the ones I have put on (all three of my trucks)
One Flowmaster and two from MBRP, both great products and well worth the $ IMO

I did my magnaflow system like that. The worst part is getting the old system off. The new system fit great. A sawzall is your friend.

I believe they all clamp together, mine is nice, easy install.

if you plan on taking it off and reinstalling it, do not tighten the clamps very tight. I just had to take mine apart and put the cat back in for emissions and i almost had to cut into my almost new exhaust because the clamp had pinched the tubing together. but i managed and now the cat is back out again and everything is put back together, just not to tightly.

Piece of cake I did mine in an hour and a half. Soak the downpipe bolts in Kroil or some other nut breaker stuff and make two or three cuts thru with a sawzall and it'll drop right out. Get the new system in and don't snug anything down till you have it right where you want it.

I got the MBRP aluminized 4 in turbo back with flow thru muffler and its holding up quite well after three years in the snow/rain and such across the Pacific NW. Luck

Well, my 4" exhaust is on the way from DTR, the great thing is the warehouse is 35 miles from my home so it should be here in a couple of days, I would go and pick it but with sale tax and fuel it was as cheap to have it delivered. 265.00 w/shipping.

I put the same MRBP system on my truck about a month ago. Very easy, about 2 hours. 2 cuts with the sawsall to get the old off and then it bolts right up. I would recomend laying the system out before you install it. Seat each piece tightly together beside the truck and mark it with a pencil. Then when you are assembling under the truck you know each pipe is seated properly.
