4" exhaust after exhaust brake?

I have a PacBrake exhaust brake with a stock exhaust on my truck (see sig) Will I see any EGT gains (decreases) if I mount a 4-inch exhaust after the exhaust brake? I can't afford to replace the brake, but I would like lower my EGT's some. As you can see in my sig, I use a BHAF and I don't want a Scotty II as I won't cut the hole. (Sorry, Scotty!)

You will see lower EGT's with 4" exhaust after the brake. It is not that much different from not having the brake. The elbow on the turbo outlets are quite similar with the brake or not.
About a year ago I helped a friend install an MBRP system on his 97 CTD tow truck and he had the factory jake on it. And sure enough he dropped an average 150* EGT - not bad for a truck that is 10,700 lbs without a load.

Pac and EGT drop

DPG,

Yes you will see an EGT drop, we sell systems all the time to folks with Pac's BD's and even US Gears and they always get at least 90+% of the same drop as a non braked Cummins. Call us if you have any questions etc.
