i was wondering if anyone knows if the 3rd gen wheels will fit on a 97 12v, i was told the polished aluminum rims on the late 2nd gen trucks wont fit on the rear axle with out some reaming, is this also the case with the 3rd gen wheels

 

The third gen wheels will fit.

 

Im pretty sure the 3rd gen wheels will fit on the 2nd gens without having to do anything to them. But dont take my work for it.

 

Many people have done it, I already have a set of 3rd generation chrome clads waiting to go on the truck shortly when these on the truck get finished off.

Yes, the 17" 3rd gen dually will fit on a 2nd gen. Member Erska in Finland is running a set on this dually.
