Talking 3rd gen turbo bolt patern??

will a turbo for a 3rd gen fit on a 2nd gen?theres a turbo for sale that says direct bolt on to a 03-06,will it fit on mine direct?im not looking for more psi in my turbo just more volume of cooler air,will a larger turbo do this?

At the very least the outlets are different. The cool side has a 90 on it. The 04.5 (600 series) also have an electric waste gate. The exhaust housing is only around a 9CM and connects to the exhaust pipe with a 4" down pipe. The 600s have seen an increase of 25 HP at the wheels just by uping to a bigger turbo with everything else staying stock.

The 3rd gens come with an HY35 from the factory. Yours come's with an HX35 from the factory. Going from an hx to an hy would be like going from Eva Longoria to Janet Jackson. They might do the same but your certaintly going to regret it.

I bet he's talking about a aftermarket turbo, Is that right Duallydave? I have wondered about that too.

ya i was looking at a sp66 and it said direct bolt on to the 3rd gens,i was wondering if it would fit ours without any modifying.

It could probably be done. I know that there is an adapter sold to put second gen turbos on a third gen truck.. I think that it is to make the exhaust pipe connect. Sorry I cant help ya out any more than that.

i didnt think they would work,there is a sp66 in the classifieds here for a decent price in the 3rd gen section,i was considering it,but if its a no go then back to searching
