30 or 60

I'll also be adding gauges pretty soon. I noticed there's a 30 PSI. and 60 PSI boost gauge by Di-Pricol. Based on the fact that the Edge EZ, and a Scotty filter will probably be all the mods I'll make, which gauge would I need to get?

TO elaborate further, the addition of the EZ and accompanying boost elbow will permit the boost to max out at around 32 PSI under full load - and peg out a 30 PSI guage, thought being far more readable under less than full bore driving.
The 60 PSI guage will put a full bore run at around mid scale - but be far less readable at "normal" driving boost, since PSI will usually be down around 10 PSI or less. The Westach guage I have with my Comp, maxes at 35 PSI - which in my scenario, is excellent, since I can still monitor operation at full load - but still get good readability at normal, lower operation...
Ya pays yer money, and takes yer chances... ;D ;D

I'm with Gary. My rule of thumb is that if you don't use at least 2/3 of the scale...you have the wrong gage for you. If you BOMB it down the road, a higher gage will be the least of your $. You can get 40 and 50 psi gages too. Check around the different mfgs.

Well I considered some other gauges, but I think I read somewhere that the Di-Pricol was one of the more accurate for the EGT. I guess I could mix brands for the different gauges, but I thought I’d look a little nicer if they were all the same brand. Does anybody know of a company making a 3 pod dash mounted holder? I’d like to avoid “modifying” a 02 gauge mount. I’m not the handiest guy in the garage.

Re:30 or 60
I have just ordered a DiProcol boost gauge that goes to 35 psi. I like my gauges to read between 50 and 65% full scale at cruise. As all I can see for now is maybe the new TST box when it comes out (if I can still afford it after the air suspension) Does anybody see a problem with pegging the needle? I did not think a stock engine with just a fueling box would go over 35 psi. Or am I wrong?

You should be fine - with my Comp and the provided boost elbow, I usually cruise empty at less than 10 psi - even when towing out in the flats... about 33 PSI max in the hills under load with the 5er...

Bikinaz, BigBlue made me think of something. Your original question did not state whether you wanted analog or digital. Personally I want the analog because they match my existing gauges. Have used both and find that after I get to know the position of the analog needles I can just glance at them and know if anything is out of whack. With a digital I need to actually read the number which takes a hair longer for my eyes to be off the road, specially at night. Basically it boils down to personal preferance. Something like which is best, Dodge, Ford or Chev. ;D ;D ;D
Re:30 or 60
I did see that digital unit. It makes the most sense as I could mount it on the pillar and my wife could still use the grab handle. However, I’m a lot like you Mexstan, I do like the quick glance ability on the analog gauges. They also look better and are less expensive. I just wish someone made a 3 pod mount that fit on my dash with out me having to take a Dremel to it.
