I've slapped the limiter in my truck, and I have to say it was not intentional.

I was passing a big rig that had the load on the back somewhat loosely secured. I figured the more time I spent passing him, the more risk I exposed myself to. It was a narrow two-lane, and I laid into at 60mph and didn't let up until I was well past him and pulled into the right lane.

I looked down and saw the speedo fall back into double digits.

Wow! Let's say that this is not really the design criteria for a 7K lb solid axle truck...

Uuuuh, was that when I was the pilot of your truck coming back from Bowling Green? I know I got a pucker out of you on one of those speed runs. Saturn 5 will get on with it!

hold on we have a speed limiter?? my speedo goes to 200km/h and i know i've hit that... and my rpms were maxed out anyways.

i have to admit i'm sitting on the fence right now with boxes... smarty is one of the options so i am watching closely.

does this mean it will eliminate the top end defueling... how much power can you actually achieve with out tapping the ip..

Out of the box. I got out of the "box" and into a Smarty, so I'm already there

I'm thinking RPM limit raised an/or gone

Seems like I'll need more air and better tires- with the speedo on it's right peg my EGTs are too high, and the tires aren't too happy.

I like the edge comp box and smarty stack. You can fine tune the spool-up smoke by just backing the fuel out with the comp box. If I have minimum smoke on spool-up you guys should as well. I run smarty #5 and my edge on 1X1 for a non smoker. Edge should build a box that adjust the box to go from 1X1 to 5X5 depending on your boost. Our VP truck just don't have the smarts like the newer truck, which is ok with me. Any of you guy try running a truck with the smarty and then do a back to back run without it? It sure wakes up the down low power and the edge fuels until you run out of rpm's. If you want more buy a redline box and you can see 4k. If that not enough buy a p pump with a 5k governor so you can wind-up that truck go to the salt flats. I've drove my truck at 120mph, its very bounce and it takes almost two lanes just to keep it going straight and I only have 285 tires, imagine the big roller guys at 120 mph. Those big tires would blow apart at those speeds

Mike,

I've dyno'd with and without just the smarty, If thats what you mean. Only other items were 150hp inj and a super b.

Without smarty was 273 hp. With was 401.

My sticks and turbo by themselves are equal to an EZ.
