2500 dually

Has anyone ever added training wheels to a 2500?

Re:2500 dually

A friend of mine did it to his 96 2500. I'm not sure who the company was that he went through but he got the spacers for the front and the rear, two alcoa aluminum wheels, and two steel wheels for $1300. I thought that was a pretty killer price for the whole kit. He says he love it, except in the winter time, says the duals don't handle as well as the single rear wheels did.

If you want I can find out where he got the kit and give you their name and phone #.

DB

Re:2500 dually

I converted two 3/4 ton Dodges using the arrowcraft kit and it worked wonderfull. Only thing if you get the front adapters too you'll need somebody(or a big bar) to hold down the brake pedal while you tighten the front adapters with a wrench 8)

Re:2500 dually

my 92 3/4 ton has been converted to a dually. it has the spacers set front and rear. the front spacers are cast just like the 94up dodge 4x dually the rear are aluminum i think, heck i don't remember looking at them very hard. i have 131k on it and i do like the duals when i have my cabover camper on it. mike

Re:2500 dually

I heard of people doing it to the Ford F250s but never a Dodge. I think they just got a 1ton series rear axle and a used dually bed and that was it.

Re:2500 dually

FYI,

Dana makes 3, (yes count them) 3 different Dana 80's for Dodge 3/4ton and 1ton trucks. There is the Hybrid 80, that's the one in the 2500 HD, there is the normal 80 that's the one in the 3500's and there is a shortend 80, that's the one in the cab & chassie models. A rebuilt dual 80 cost $1,800, That's without the brake componets you're going to need. :

Without a dought the above mentioned company is the way to go when coverting a Dodge 2500 to a dually.

DB
