2001 Upgrades

I am thinking of buying a Edge Juice/w Attitude and a 4" exhaust system. What is the best exhaust to buy? I dont need a 304 system. I am not out for looks. I just need functional. Where is the best place to purchace? Thanks.

good choice (because it's the same one I made)

You will be very happy. Don't forget an intake upgrade. VERY important piece of the trio.

Come on sluggo- these aren't gassers. I almost made it to 500 hp on the stock air box with the boot removed and a k&n drop in =P

MB consider fuel system upgrades before the exhaust, intake, or anything else.
F-1 hand picks their vendors and all of these guys are top notch, even if you're not looking for sticks:

Exactly... A K&N is an intake upgrade over stock, that's what I have too, so you are also brilliant

IMHO you will not gain any thing really to write home about with a intake sure you may see a little hitch in the get along but in my testing I seem to have gotten more with just a boost elbow its defantly cheeper than a full blown intake and for me the results were a little better egt drop getting up to speed pulling a load. Now I know the elbow is not all that its cracked up to be but like ph4tty said stock air boxes are good up to around 500hp and if you can help that stock system breath like its suposed to well there you go. But that being said you have a auto so you would have too look up threads about using a j hook or several other means to aquire more boost from your truck. I dont know how the hy turob holds up to more boost but i do know its a faster spooling turbo vs the hx because of the auto tranny lag so they had to make it wing faster so there was not a gob of smoke

Can't tell you how it will hold up, but I just turnbuckled my WG and with my VA box it will peg my 30psi boost guage. Made a noticeable improvement in power (now rolling into it the tires break loose ~25lbs of boost). Do a search on turnbuckle, a few bucks from the hardware store was worth every penny.

I think I found some good deals on the net. Now I just have to convince myself that I need the Juice and exhaust.

The juice will give you all the guages you will need for any future upgrades and will not only increase power, but the timing can help mileage also. I suspect when you do get your guages setup you'll find that wot your fp drops to next to nothing which is why I recommended a fuel system over an exhaust.

I'd rather have analog mechanical guages than an electrical display myself though. I went with autometer z series which matches the oem guages nicely.
