191 Delivery Valve ?'s

Will installing 191 delivery valves be a good upgrade for my truck if I already have 181's? If so does anyone know who has the best price on them?

When I swaped DV's it was 215 Pump, No plate, AFC & Star full forward, 4 GSK & 17* Timing!
Times have now changed a bit !
215, 0 Plate, AFC Spring, LC DV's, 5 GSK, 21* Timing.

What do you guys recommend for my set up? Not looking to go too far with it. I just put a new South Bend MU900 Rally Clutch in when I did the auto to 5spd conversion. Just want a little more power. See Sig below for current set up.

I don't see a governor spring kit in your signature? That would be a must IMO
A mack rack stop plug and some AFC mods will make a big difference also. For a daily driver I'm not a big fan of the bigger DVs..... but every one has their own opinion on these.

Agree! 4 GSK would be sweet and timing also!

Ok, sounds good. It is a daily driver so maybe I'll slide the #10 plate all the way forward and go with a 3000 governor spring kit. I'll have to find someone around Pittsburgh Pa that has the tools to do the timing. Never did that before.

Ok. Should I slide the #10 plate all the way forward. Right now I have it in the stock position. I also never touched the star wheel or the governor arm. I checked the governor arm and it looks like it hit s in the right place.

Pete.... adjust your star wheel forward toward the engine.I have the 3k springs in my truck. Some say the 4K are ok,but the pedal will get very touchy. When you get your spring kit in.....you will see how the engine will wake up...

How far forward on the star wheel? Should I leave the plate where it is or move it forward?

you'll have to play around with the plate and star wheel to see what you best gains are. but i have the 4gsk and that was one of the biggest power differences i got out of my truck. I wanna try a 5gsk.
