12v boost guage

well i bought my dad some autometer z series guages for his birthday,, i got the pyro and working i just need a little guideance on where to connect the boost line.. he has the number 10 plate and boost elbow i was wondering if i can just find a boost elbow with another fitting and rig it up on to that or is there somthing else thats easier thanks for the help

You can drill and tap the intake horn OR put a T-fitting on the line that goes from the intake manifold to the AFC housing... I'd drill and tap, its more fun and easier! lol

For a 12 valve you don't have to do any of that. There is a threaded plug on the drivers side right by the intake horn. Take it out and screw in your boost line. See this link: http://www.dieselpage.com/gibdl.htm -Glen

No need for any drilling or tapping. Just as TxDiesel posted, there is a plug on the left side of the engine, my Autometer gauge came with the right size adapter, threaded it right in and connected.
