I have been in the market lately for a 2nd gen 12 valve 5 speed Dodge pickup. I was wondering which years are the best for making power and what are good power mods, my goal is to run around 500 horse and I know that I am running a full set of gauges, 5’exhaust, Scotty air 2, FASS fuel pump but as far a clutches I don’t what I am going to run but I here South Bend are pretty good. Also I know I am going to need a camplate, injectors, turbo, governor spring and other modifications but I want to know what will be good for this application. One other thing I would like to know is there any other types of defects that I should know about like the 5th gear retaining nut and the crank case dowel pin problem. Thanks
