I ground my own #10 plate today. Why does it have that hump 1/2 up the plate, why defuel there? would i be beter off to take that off or is it to control egts. also will this work without a 3k or wait to install till i get the 3k kit?

 

Yeah the defueling helps keep the EGTs down, and less fuel on the top end is easier on clutches. Especially stock ones

And it will work fine without the GSK, but you will enjoy it more with the additional RPMs.
