#10 fuel plate?
#10 fuel plate?
i have a 1996 dodge cummins with the 5 speed and have the 215 hp pump. my pump has been calibrated to the high end of specs by connel diesel. i want to put a #10 fuel plate in it. am i going to need a turbo or clutch upgrade? also how much hp did the calibration give me, i know the truck smokes more?
Cant help you with how your pump was calibrated but I had that exact same truck with a #10 plate in it and it would slip the clutch (not stock either) and the motor would get realy hot (peggin out a 1600* gage). so I guess the answer to your question is yes, unless you baby it and then what is the point.
i wish i could tell you but i sold the truck leaving it that way with a set of 370's in it. that realy made it hot and slip the clutch. I was lookin at a a southbend dual disk and an htt sled puller for that truck but have no experience with it. My plan was to make it a sled puller but never did.
