I have a 01 auto 4x4 ram with a 4" exhaust cold air intake also 4" built trans with tight converter,haisly machine anti defueling device(A.D.D)and a superchips programmer,the truck made 247rwhp and 493rwtq on the dyno at my work.Today I ordered a edge comp programmer and Im wondering if Im just wasting money or will i see a increase in power?Thanks for the responses in advance

 

should see 300-315ish rwhp with a comp and wire tap on a 01.

 

I have a 2000 auto with comp & 275' s inj. and turn around 370 hp. I would think you would see around 350 or more.

 

do you have a pyro cause that hy9 that you have on that 01 will get really hot with that comp

 

I ordered a pyro gauge as well,but how will i change the exhaust temp if it does get too high,and how hot is to hot?

 

you'll kick some butt with that setup...you'll be happy...you'll have to control your EGT's with your foot...you wont be too bad cause u have some exhaust work done

get the edge EZ for sure since u have a tranny now!!!! (cant wait to get a piece of mind tranny)

Too hot is over 1250 continious...1500 for short bursts (6-10 sec).

With hard line wastegate actuator, you will need a turnbuckle with a spring on it. See picture here... https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ght=turnbuckle

Adjust so boost stays around 32 psi. Anything above that will be super heated air, over-reving the turbo, adding very little HP and sending EGT's thru the roof.

After that, will be easier to control EGT's with the right foot, if neccesary.
