Don't forget about Spring Fling!
I should have worded that a little different above.. "RECEIVED" the trans this past Tues... and should get the bed on and trans in this coming week if all goes well
Anyway... I didn't speak with Dave and place the order but pretty much asked for a run of the mill trans good for 400hp with a billet input. Pretty much the same thing that went into my '96 back in 2004 minus the billet input. He usually has the numbers written on the converter.. so I'll have to take a peek at it before it gets installed.. I want to say that it is a 900/400 model though, and that's what is likely in the '96 as well. It is rather tight!
The Buck, ..I've been going down to their events rather consistent now for four seasons and I've seen a lot of diesel pickup drivers come and go.. And that's a shame! I've pretty much figured out that it's much better off just coming and.. walking around the pits to check things out (like, I've stopped and chatted with you last year), then just sit back and enjoy the show. Everything but the competition is very predictable.. Ozz (the older one of the two announcers) will have the same old stories, Brickers Concessions has a line half-way around the track and always some eye candy walking around
. It is a racket there to get in and compete.. I know a local puller that always takes the whole young family with.. and they will charge at the gate for every head in the vehicle.. $17 bucks a pop times 4 or 5 or more children adds up in a real hurry....

I'd like to say I'll be there but we all know how my luck runs with my truck! I still have a leaky injector and im running 60psi and havnt put my studs in yet. However. For the dyno do they let you run it or do the techs have to park it and run it?

Captain, Dave from SGS runs the truck. He will do anything you would like and you can also be in the passenger seat if you want. He is excellent at what he does and has dynoed hundreds of diesel trucks.
Thats good to hear. I know some of these people have never dynoed a truck before and that makes me nervious when they attempt to drive it up the ramps. the dyno I did before the guy let you drive it up and run it.
You park the truck on the dyno and back it out of the bay afterward, Dave just operates the loud pedal on the dyno runs. The way SGS does it saves a lot of time that is usually spent getting the vehicle owner and the dyno operator coordinated.
