Do you move around, or do you stay in one location?

Evening all.

Had a relatively productive day. Cleaned out the garage quite a bit. Got everything back to where it should be more or less. Went out and bought a new toolbox. Sams had one for 697 or something along those lines. Really nice - stainless, ballbearings, 41" wide, top chest and bottom cabinent. I'll try and snap some pics tomorrow. Gotta transfer all the tools over now. Atleast everything will be organized for a day or so

Bout to go out for a run. It's 100 out still. Hit 105 today, 10 degrees above normal. I sure hope this gets over soon. Is it winter yet?

For the most part I stay in the shop but lately I've been bounced from the shop to the field and back. It can be hectic but it's all the same work. I'm based out of Gary, IN next to Chicago. The railroad I work for also does contract work for some of the local steel mills. The loco I'm working on now is owned by US Steel Midwest Division. They pay my company to come work on there antique equipment lol, this one was built in the 40's. I like working on the big engines but the newest we own are our sd38's dated in the mid 70's. I'd like to get into a larger company when i have a little more experience so I can work on some of the new locomotives.

Yes sir. It'll absolutely do the job and for the money it can't be beat. Similar boxes at Sears were 1K +, I'm willing to take my chances.

I'm happy with the tool box I bought from Sams, mine isn't SS like what you have, its regular steel powder coated red but it has BB drawers and is very nice. I think it's alot better than the over priced sears toolboxes. I've had it for 4 years now and its in great shape.

its officially 86* @ 70% humidity here.

thermostat on the wall in the shop says 35*C and the humidity is probably pretty close.

Morning Chaikwa. Left a box of sugar pills on the counter to go with your coffee and tea.

Just doing a run-by this morning. 2.5 hour commute to my training site for each of the next 3 days. Good way to run up the miles (glad their paying me for them) and to stay out of trouble.

In whatever spare time I can rustle up, I'm installing air bags on the back of the truck getting ready for travel trailer towing this summer.

Be safe out there today

Mornin All - - you too Scott - - and Scotty - - and the Mad - - and Heidi - - and Sack Sitter - - and Davey - - Fronty - - and 04 - - - well, can't call them all - - just a great good morning. Light drizzle all night - - wow do we need it. Fire danger has been extremely high with little ones popping up all over, mostly near the interstate where idiot drivers don't know what to do with their ciggy butts - - they don't go out the window.

Putting up the mailbox this morning, more work tweaking the heads on the irrigation system, wash mama's car and get them love bugs off, wash the truck but watch the skies first - - may wait.

OK, got my pheeoooo and out of here - - have a great one.
