You mean adding valve lapping compound to your oil wont keep varnish from forming on your cylinder walls.

Jrr, go ahead and add valve lapping compund to your oil but it is critical that you use the extra fine to polish the cylinder walls properly. The course stuff makes the scratches too deep which allows oil to slip by and your oil consumption will increase. Also make sure you use one tablespoon per quart of oil for the best results.
