Get a cap or a cover for the back and find out how much you can carry.

Good Luck with the move.. I have a brother in law in the Atlanta area and he loves it. Has lived there for more than 5 years.. maybe longer.

Watch out for those Atlanta drivers! I went through there with a 300 Farmall in tow and I was running 70-75 and felt like I was an old maid!! It was sunday morning though so maybe on sundays it's drive like your in NASCAR day!! But, I've heard that's how it always is.

Atlanta is fun to drive in unless you run into a wreck, then it is 3 or 4 hours in traffic. Just be on your toes if it is raining cause traffic will go from 85 MPH to 10 MPH in less than 2 football fields around a corner of coarse. LOL Last time I was up there the traffic was terrible. Stop and go driving is aggrivating in the morning and afternoon commute.

Atlanta was not bad to go through and that's what I did. Had to go to Albany, Ga to get this tractor. We took 1-24 down to Chattanooga, then down to Atlanta and got on the 75 or something. It was early saturday morning so no big deal, we went down saturday morning and returned on sunday morning, just stuck to my lane watched the signs. First time I ever saw a sign that said something about xx city in florida xxx miles.

The times I went through there not bad, early sat/sunday mornings. We had a GM school down there on the northeast side of Hotlanta. Some of the technicians that went down there hated it cause they would have to take the loop around, 4 something and one guy said it took him three hours to go from the I-state to his exit. The rain thing stopping traffic, don't know about hotlanta but seems to happen up here in Nashville too! Suddenly everyone thinks they can't go 70mph anymore with a lite drizzle.

If you guys/gals think traffic and drivers suck down in Atlanta then you need to visit Chicago. Only town that'll turn a 20 min ride into a 2 hr adventure. Plus if you don't drive like a jerk in chicago then you won't get anywhere. Anytime I go to the city I have the GF drive because I have no patience for the people in the city especially cabbies.

I've driven atlanta several times at different days and different times of day and I have never had a problem. I've always encountered more traffic goin through Nashville or Louisville.

Before exploring downtown Atlanta I might suggest getting your CCW. Hit the turist area of underground Atlanta and the Coca Cola museum

Atlanta, you have to watch for them pesky jetliners that look like they're gonna land on you. You want to see what that truck will do, put a flat bed on and load it with 6 roundbales.

Day before Thanksgiving this year I drove through ATL on my way to a field trial over near Dublin, GA. Fortunately I only had the two horse bumper pull and there were no accidents. Zipped right through ATL, Macon was more of a hang up then ATL.

Blue3Quarter is right about Chicago...I've been stuck in traffic at 2am on some part of the Eisenhower more times than I care to remember on my way up to WI. For some reason Chicago drivers believe that a foot of distance between you and the driver in front of you is an invitation to merge.

Good Luck with GA...I think you'll find GA to be a very welcoming place.
