will not start

hi... sorry about this not being a Cummins but it is a 5.9l V8 Magnum. The truck is a '95 Ram 2500 with a 5.9L V8 Magnum. It will not start and is not sparking very much. We think that it is the distributer. However, it looks very hard to remove. Any help on trying to find a way to remove would be appreciated. Thank You!
