Just remember that anything is possible if you don't know what you're talking about.

I laugh at every 6.oh no I see. I still can't believe that people are buying them after all the issues. And for the V8 vs I6 deal, is V8s were great for towing, then why is it every big rig I see has an I6 and not a V8? Didn't the a few manufacturers try to put V8s in their trucks back in the day and they couldn't pull very well?

Ford owns Cummings... That will never die will it? Next time you see that numbskull, show him cummins.com and show him the article where it clearly states that Ford owns 0% of Cummins.

Like what rdc said...it's tough to find a used CTD in the local papers with low mileage...they just aren't there. Now if you want a used '06 or older Ferd, plenty to choose from

NoSparkPlugs,
Dont get me wrong but I recall someone telling me that back in the day, MACK trucks tried a V8, and it sucked on the hills with a good load. Lets say, they dropped that engine and went back to the I-6.

Just looking around at the various engine manufacturers...
International has only ONE V-8 rated for 230 HP
Isuzu doesn't offer any industrial "V" engines.

Almost every engine on the market is an inline 3,4,or 6...

Altho, the numbers on that MBE905 for Detroit looks impressive. 330 HP at 1000 FT-lb

Oh, arguments over quality dont work when you own the best.

If I was an educated man, and I'd like to think that I'm not, I could conclude that you were talking about me.
