Every time I post something on Craigslist I get some stupid response in the same broken language that the Africans use when they send those messages out about how they need your help with their millions of dollars and will pay you handsomely for the help. You send them a message back and never hear from them again. I cannot figure out what their motivation is for this. Anyone know?

Many folk's email addresses are linked to accounts they use for PayPal, eBay and a multitude of sensitive financial institutions.

Never use your good email address posting on Craigslist, get a throwaway Yahoo address.

There's a box on the craigslist site you can check to hide your contact info. You then can check replies on the craig's list page.

I found this out the hard way also!
