For scenic things you can take a drive out on I-84 East to Multnomah Falls. You could take a drive up to Mt. Hood on US26 East.

If your looking for things to do in town, then post up the dates you are here and I can look up some events for ya'. Also what are you interested in?

How far do you want to travel?

The Oregon coast is really nice.

Over here in the columbia river gorge there are a lot of nice mtn bike trails.

There's the Tillamook burn off road vehicle riding area nearby.

Powell's books downtown is one of the largest bookstores in the country, if you are into that.

Depends on what you are looking to do.

Timberline Lodge, on Mt Hood is a good trip. Lots of snow there still.

Portland itself is full of things to do. Powells Books downtown, is one of the largest booksellers.

Lincoln City, on the coast is another good drive and you get to see the Pacific.

Multnomah Falls is just a few minutes east and well worth the ride.

The Zoo, OMSI and the Forest Porducts museum are all in West Portland, again well worth the time.

Lots of Micro Brewreys in Portland.

Mt St Helens is up I5 a few hours.

Again, depends on what you want to do.
