What caliber
Re:What caliber
I think the two problems with the 9 are penetrating vehicles, and clothing plugging the hole in the hydroshock, hampering expansion. The expansion is part of the performance relied upon in the 9 anyway. The 40 will have extra "knock down" even if the round doesn't expand

Waaaah waaaah waaaaah. :'(

New Bullet Design

Available Now in 45 ACP, 40S&W, 400 CORBON, 357Sig, 10mm,
9mm, and 38super.
Cor-Bon is proud to announce a new line of premium high velocity ammunition loaded with the new Pow´RballTM bullet.
The Pow´RballTM is a breakthrough concept; developed by renowned bullet maker Peter R Pi. It is an expanding bullet capped with a polymer ball giving it a full metal jacket or rounded ball profile.
The new Pow´RballTM ammunition will give the shooter confidence and peace of mind, knowing that there will not be an ammunition feeding problem when the gun is needed in a critical situation. The polymer ball is smooth and slick. It will not hang-up or snag as it guides the cartridge effortlessly into the chamber. The lead bullet core is shaped into a specially designed cavity. Upon entering the target, the softpoint cap promotes controlled expansion of the bullet. The resulting classic mushroom shape dumps all the available energy into the target. Complete energy transfer promotes superior stopping power. This round nose profile is unaffected by heavy clothing, glass or sheet metal. Recovered bullets from test medium have excellent (80% or better) weight retention after 12 to 14 inches of penetration.
Peter R Pi has a patent applied for on the Pow´RballTM bullet. It will be loaded by Cor-Bon as premium, high velocity ammunition, at competitive pricing. The 45ACP+P at 165gr. with a velocity of 1225fps and the 40S&W at 1275fps are available now. .
The Pow´RballTM bullet will be offered in all of the popular cartridges in the immediate future. See our newest releases.

Re:What caliber
You misunderstand, silly boy. ;D I have read it MANY times. I was wanting a link so that others could see what I was talking about. I'm just looking for anyone who has used these. Seems like good stuff to me.

Just curious, Why the switch to the .40 if you have two .45s?
[/quote]
Concealment is the whole reason behind the buy. It's real hard to hide a full size Kimber in the summer. I have no problems carrying them in the spring, fall, and winter.
I looked at the Glocks but don't like the grip, it feels real strange to me. ??? I'd like to buy a Kimber utra carry II but can't part with $1,000 for a carry gun. :'(
The XD is ordered but there are no XD's in the United States.
It seems Springfield is having shipping problems and can't get the parts from Croasia. ( funny the gun says it's made in the US) :-
I've shot a full size XD and really like it, it's no Kimber but it's very accurate for a 4" plastic gun.

Re:What caliber
You will like the XD 40. I was in the market for either the XD40, or the HK USP 40. Tried both guns out and the XD 4" Service, it felt better in my hands and was dead on with the USP's accuracy. And, it was about 300 cheaper than the USP. Needless to say, this will be my next gun.
The XD is the HS2000. When Springfield bought out the company in Croatia, they dubbed the name XD (Xtreme Duty). Back when it was under the name HS200..this gun could be had for about 289 bucks. Now, since Springfield has bought the company and made there changes as well as promote it, the going price is around 450 for the Service Model, tactical and the V10 ported can be had for 512. If you ever get a chance to watch the promo tape on the XD, do it. Took it through the whole -40 test, mud, water etc, and this gun shined.

Re:What caliber
The .40 cal with the 3" barrel and night sights is on order. 8)
The bad news is no one in the united States has any sub compact XD's.
It seems Springfield is having problems with shipping them in from over seas and they don't even know when they will ship.
So much for that gun having Made in the USA on it. :
I was told by Springfield it could be 2 weeks or 6 months, they said they don't know. :'(
