G'day from t'uther side of the world. Nice day here. Even the ever present air pollution is the least I have seen it yet.
I wonder what causes this site to be so obsessed (as in fixated on) with legs (or is that Leggs?) and sheep? Doubt if it is the diesel fumes, so it must be something else.
Enjoying a lazy day. Just finished a nice lunch of baked Norwegian salmon. Should go for a long walk, but my lazy bone is very active today.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4th:
1535 - The first complete English translation of the Bible was printed in Zurich, Switzerland.
1648 - The first volunteer fire department was established in New York by Peter Stuyvesant.
1777 - At Germantown, PA, Patriot forces and British forces both suffer heavy losses in battle. The battle was seen as British victory, which actually served as a moral boost to the Americans.
1876 - The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas formally dedicated by Texas Gov. Richard Coke. It was the state's first venture into public higher education. The college opened for classes two days earlier.
1927 - The first actual work of carving began on Mount Rushmore.
1940 - Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini met in the Alps at Brenner Pass. Hitler was seeking help from Italy to fight the British.
1957 - The Soviet Union launched Sputnik I into orbit around the Earth. Sputnik was the first manmade satellite to enter space. Sputnik I fell out of orbit on January 4, 1958.
1985 - The Shiite Muslim group Islamic Jihad announced that they had killed American hostage William Buckley. Later another American hostage said that he believed that Buckley had died four months earlier from torture.
1993 - Russian Vice-President Alexander Rutskoi and Chairman Ruslan Khasbulatov surrendered to Boris Yeltsin after a ten-hour tank assault on the Russian White House. The two men had barricaded themselves in after Yeltsin called for general elections and dissolved the legislative body.
1993 - Dozens of Somalis dragged an American soldier through the streets of Mogadishu. A videotape showed Michael Durant being taken prisoner by Somali militants.
2001 - In Washington, DC, Reagan National Airport re-opened. The airport had been closed since the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?

Pilot asked the question about truth in John 18.38 and folks have been struggling with it since then. Did he challenge truth way back then?

Janitah is an early bird today.
Coffee's ready, Tigers are HOT, New York is going down, donuts are up, but you better get'em while they're not looking.
Always wondered who Top was referring to as the Pink Panther, I guess he was talking about himself in the third person, or did he name a body part?

Morning. Man I wish I had my 16yo energy again.
See, exactly.
We lost the game last night 1-0
Any my socks keep falling down, even after I taped them
These socks won't get the nod again. I have another pair with a stripe. But only one stripe, not three like the ones that kept falling down. Maybe one stripe won't be as heavy and they'll stay up.

Heey Shorts, I didnīt think that anybody played soccer in america, itīs kinda big thing here, I guess itīs pretty much the other way around "overthere".
Football never got really big here, Morten Andersen i think made a bit of a carreer, and he was from Denmark, but itīs not really big here... yet anyway.
Sorry to hear about your new socks, glue comes to mind, itīll hurt later, worry about it later.
Oh, btw, yes, youīre right, those artificial grassthings can make some REALLY good burns, been there, done that.
