Morning folks, hmm , I try to think I am younger than I am and sometimes act it. But the cost is higher than it used to be, both financially and physically.
As far as work, I have a liscence to break stuff and play with my can in public places.
In and out if here.
Y'all have a great week.

Morning early birds. I put coffee on...for everybody. Unlike Stan, hogging the coffee. I think the 7.80 haircut has gone to his head. High roller!

Morning. Day shift is here. Just thinking about how old I feel right about now. Sitting through classes half the day Friday, running up and down the river chasing 20 pound torpedos friday afternoon and cleaning fish til midnight. Work Saturday and roof my brothers house after work. Feeling kinda stiff. There was a day I'd have stayed up til 2 drinking after all that, but went to bed by 10. Gotta finish the roof tonight after work yet.

Shorts, you have any more pics or a write up somewhere? I was kinda thinking of building a small press later and this might make a good attachment.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2nd:
1835 - The first battle of the Texas Revolution took place near the Guadalupe River when American settlers defeated a Mexican cavalry unit.
1836 - Charles Darwin returned to England after 5 years of acquiring knowledge around the world about fauna, flora, wildlife and geology. He used the information to develop his "theory of evolution" which he unveiled in his 1859 book entitled The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.
1869 - Mahatma (Mohandas) K Gandhi was born. He was known for his advocacy of non-violent resistance to fight tyranny.
1876 - The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas opened. It was the state's first venture into public higher education. The school was formally dedicated 2 days later by Texas Gov. Richard Coke.
1895 - Ruth Cheney Streeter was born. She became the first director of the U.S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve.
1919 - U.S. President Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed.
1940 - During World War II, the HMS Empress was sunk while carrying child refugees from Britain to Canada.
1941 - Operation Typhoon was launched by **** Germany. The plan was an all-out offensive against Moscow.
1944 - The ***** crushed the Warsaw Uprising.
1998 - Hawaii sued petroleum companies, claiming state drivers were overcharged by about $73 million a year in price-fixing.
2001 - NATO, for the first time, invoked a treaty clause that stated that an attack on one member is an attack on all members. The act was in response to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

I would be in the "think to be 20-something" category.
At my kids know NOT to say that I´m an adult, only when they want trouble....
But that said, I must admit that I did feel a little old this morning, after crawling around under my truck yesterday, trying to get the exhaust off.
But I did, and I got a nice 3" straight pipe on, ohboy, now it sound even better, and I can hear my turbo spool...
So today just did a little work at home, cut the grass, and enjoy the weather, the last week has been the most summer we´ve had since the beginning of June, almost the wettest summer for 137 years, when they started keeping track of it, beat by 1981 by 1/8th of an inch, 3 millimeters.
And tomorrow morning i`ll be going to work, and I think i`ll leave the radio off, it doesn´t play anything better than that 3" pipe anyway
Shorts, just thinking, what do they look like, armed cows sewn together, makes a real funny picture in my head... ( allright, alot of things do that, Redleg chasing 20 pound torpedos is a great example
)

Morning all,
Since JWBM asked the skulkers to show themselves, I will. I wish I was a 20-ish something. If the odometer only has 20 years on it, I have rolled it twice and am now working on the early parts of he third time around. As for job, I run a computer department for a Canadian oil pipeline company - not the one who has been getting all the protests for Keystone XL though. I do enjoy the talk about food in the breakrrom (not the coffee, pHoo or donuts quite so much). We have a pretty good sized garden and it is nice to see what others are doing. My wife made a new salsa yesterday with roasted tomatoes, onions and green peppers fresh from the garden and roasted on the bbq. Added some smoked dried peppers from Mexico and canned. It is really amazing. It made it down to -2C here last night for about 8 hours so the garden is pretty much done for the year. Now we have to get the canning and blanching done plus curing and boxing about 450lbs of spuds and about 100lbs of onions - red, white and yellow onions. The heater in the small greenhouse is good to add about 10 degrees so we don't have to worry about the tomatoes or tomatillos yet.

Only dropped to 44* last night. No Ice scraper needed today.
I'm 20and something....... and in the State-run motel business.

I guess I fall in the 20-something category.
As for occupation-Student if that counts.
I'm going to school to be a Engineer-I know that's almost like a swear word around here.
Would like to work the in the AG/Construction equipment industry, or power sports(sled/4 wheelers). Have worked for several companies(Case/Bobcat/Agco) in the industry and its been real fun.

Crap, Lary! We're gonna have to assess your account some infraction points!!
Morning, Heidi. Thanks for making me old.
Inspection is almost over, maybe I'll be around more than once a week.
Took the weekend off to decompress a little, got a keg of Killians, had a good time.
Not a bad night last night. No one got shelhamered, everyone enjoyed the food, we got a little loud, but nothing bad. Angie made some spicy tomato cheese grits, they were awesome.
I'll try not to be as much of a stranger this week... did I miss anything important?
