The Water Cooler Feb 12 - 18

Morning all.
New week, New thread.

White stuff continues to fall outside.
Looks like we have ~8-10" of the awful stuff on the ground and the forecast says it'll continue until around 10:00 hrs.
Snow blower checked, lubed, gassed, pre-fired, aired up and ready to Rock-N-Roll as soon as the local 09:00 Sunday "Noise" rules expire.
Min-Pin actually made it two steps onto the porch before making an emergency "Bat-Turn" and hauling through the house to his blanket on top of the heat register.

Heading for the kitchen for eggs, bacon & toast
(Of course there's no one here but me to cook, it always tasts better when some one else makes it. )

Power flickered a couple of times........hope it stays on......it's Cooooold outside.

Y'all B safe,

Beautiful sunny but cold morning here. Originally, the forecasters were thinking we might get what you east coasters are getting, but they mentioned some kinda 'spheres' from Canada pushing the system farther south and to the east.

Did the 'meet & eat' thing with the MIDTR last night. Great buncha guys, good food and a nice restaurant. Glad I went and I hope we can do that again! Redleg showed up late, out of breath, then made some excuse that my brush was in the mail... I think there's more to THAT story, but we'll see!

Got the goin' and the french toast is being made as we speak.

Think I'll just stare out the window at the bare ground today and try and remember what snow looks like. Thanx Scotty!

Thanks for taking the "hit" for us. These people were getting stupid enough with 2 inches on the grass and nothing on the roads.
Sun is out, beautiful blue sky, and 18 degrees. Truck does well with the cold start feature. Sounds like a big Kubota when it's running on three cylinders. Good warmup time.
Time to get busy. I'm wasting daylight.

Morning, snow in Birmingham started last night and continued this morning. Not much though, just a good dusting, but it still makes people freaky. Guess NASA gets my time today.

What ever you do do not send any of the white stuff this way. been in the 70's lately and that's fine by me.

On a countdown here. 4 more days and hubby will be home from Iraq. As long as flight doesn't get delayed too much, will be home for a nice long weekend.

Congratulations! I'm sure you are thrilled. Make sure and tell him how much we all appreciate his service and sacrifice. We wouldnt be free if it werent for him and his comrades.

Go Navy!

Two hours behind a snow blower and a shovel handle makes for a VERY tired Shovelhead.
Need coffee.....who drank the last cup?

Maybe I'll just put a pinch of the old grounds between my cheek and gum.......MMmmmmmm caffeine.

You should get yourself a teenage step son. 75 yards of driveway with 6" + of snow, all by hand. They're good for somethings.

If you want one, you can have mine.

My "Teenage" son is 24 and lives about 15 miles from here.
One is enough, thank you........
Just me and the dog (and the dog won't shovel either), 'til Wifey gets back.

According to my Stanley Powerlock, we received 12.5". After digging out half the neighborhood with the snow blower this morning and afternoon; and relaxing with a cup of coffee and snacking on Ibuprofin, it dawned on me that I'd rather be taking a nice walk in the great outdoors with my Browning hunting Quail...

It was a heavy snow, lots of broken trees in this area.
