The Water Cooler 25 Sept - 01 Oct

Here it is.
Y'all know the drill.

Breakfast done, waiting on a call to head for Maryland to pick up a couple of free bed frames-headboards for the spare bedrooms.
Then out to the garage to attempt to finish reassembly on the Geezer-Glide.
Hoping to have it fired up before dark,.....but that all depends on Wifey's plans.....as usual.

Hope everyone did OK through the storms down south.

Y'all B safe,

Wish I would have known that Ed,,,,,,, I'm in the process of having to make room in the spare room (the room that my puter is in, plus all the other stuff that the wife doesn't want out in the rest of the house,,, ) in order to put two twin beds in there that her son doesn't need at the other house. I guess it's time to move the puter back to the upstairs again so I have some place to retreat to. I hope tht she's not trying to tell me something by putting beds in the same room with the computer!

With the cost of diesel, just starting the beast makes nothing free.

Wow, a new week and a gorgeous morning. Can't say I like the hot weather but I sure love those blue skies and warm sun - - missed them while gone. Lot's of goodies and the honey do list for this week - - I am tired all ready. Think I need another cup of coffee before heading to church.

Ya'll be good,

LazyBob

Lots of wind from the 'cane. Ended up with a bit over 4" of rain and power being out about 6 hours. No biggie.
LP went Tango Uniform this morning. No warning except when it started stumbling around 2700 rpm. Changed filter and when I bumped the starter to prime, the pump made funny noises and wouldn't do anything. Looks like a case of bad fuel, at sometime or the other, and 102K on the pump. New one installed and running like it's supposed to. Pulls good all the way to redline. Gonna do a pump disection tomorrow. Filter was black with approximately 15K on it. Pumped a container of fuel into a jar and it looks good. I did fuel up at an off the wall station a couple of weeks ago.
Long weekend and I smell like a diesel powered goat.

Afternoon all,
Hot and humid here today, was hoping to get some rain from Rita, all we got was some wind yesterday. Was supposed to go to the range today, but was too hot and my partner (the one with the spotting scope) backed out.
Went with the wife to pick out tile for the master bathroom , been putting it off for years. We learned a lesson when we built this house, never, ever get carpet put in a bathroom. Was an upgrade to get tile and we thought we were already in over our heads so we stuck with the carpet (aka mildew sponge). Live and learn.

Spent all day aiding, abetting, and coordinating my union local's picnic. Afterwards, went to the local chairman's house, and consumed mass quantities of Bud Light. Good day all and all.

'bout 2 hrs of sleep last night.........today ought to be LOTS of fun.
Mass quantities of coffee administered via IV might help me make it til lunch.

Cool weather with breezes this morning with measurable rain in the forecast for this afternoon.

Geezer-Glide is running again, just a few odds-n-ends to bolt back together before its road test.

Y'all B safe,

Well, made it to Massachusetts in one piece, but I swear they stretch the roads a little everytime we come out here. Took 16 hours this time, usually takes 'only' 14. Dunno what happened. Got in around 2AM, back up and wide awake at 6AM.

Coffee in the can is somewhat stale. No matter now many scoops I dump in the basket, it tastes like someone dipped a brown crayon in hot water.
Guess I'll hafta get some newer stuff today.

Gotta meeting this afternoon at 4, then a dinner meeting at 7. I oughta be in REAL rare form by then!

Another gorgeous morning down our way - - just too bright outside - - what is that big bright ball in the sky????

Still working on "THE LIST" from being gone so long. Maybe it will down to zero by the time we leave next summer. At least the refrigerator is cold again and the RV is back in its resting place.

Have a great day,

TiredBob

Good Moring all, Mya made her debut Friday morning around eight o'clock. Daughter in law and baby are doing just fine and are home. I told my son that in about 16 years she is gonna be a handfull. I don't think a brick bat could wipe the smile off this old mug.
Took the compressor housing off the Ram Sat. and did a little port and polish to the inlet eye. I can't say it improved performance but it sure looks better now that there is a velocity stack appearence. It had to help. The inlet was left as casted and with a sharp shoulder. It definitly changed the sound of the turbo when I stand on the fun petal. Well back to the grind .
